Introducing ThinkTools: an AI consultant for mental models
ThinkTools is an AI-powered strategic consultant that helps founders and PMs apply the right mental models—like RICE or Eisenhower—to move from chaotic guesswork to structured, high-leverage decision-making.

Introducing ThinkTools: an AI consultant for mental models
If you run product, a studio, or any part of your job where the hard part is deciding, you've probably collected a stack of frameworks. Eisenhower for triage. RICE when the roadmap gets loud. ICE for scrappier bets. MoSCoW when scope starts to drift. Decision matrices for the big, weighted calls.
The problem isn't that these tools don't work. It's that by the time you remember you have them, the decision is already made — usually badly, in Slack, at 11pm.
We built ThinkTools to close that gap.
What it is
ThinkTools is two things in one product:
A curated archive of decision-making frameworks. Each one gets its own page: when to reach for it, how to run it, a worked example, and the tradeoffs. No 4,000-word content-marketing detour — just the model, clearly stated.
An AI consultant that meets you where the problem is. Describe your actual bottleneck — "I have 50 features but only 3 engineers, how do I prioritize?" — and the agent picks the right framework(s), asks the missing questions, and walks you through applying them to your situation.
There's also a short diagnostic quiz for when you don't even know which framework to reach for. Answer four questions about your current bottleneck and it points you at the right tool.
Who it's for
If you're a founder, operator, PM, lead, or independent consultant, you're the target. Knowledge workers whose leverage is the quality of their thinking, not the number of hours they put in.
It's deliberately not a project management tool. There are 200 of those. ThinkTools sits one layer up: it helps you decide what belongs on the roadmap in the first place.
Why we built it
AIWorks Dev is a small studio. Our first product, Dreelio, helps independent teams run the business side of their work — clients, projects, invoices. Building Dreelio, we kept hitting the same meta-problem: which feature do we build next, and is that even the right question?
The answer wasn't more tickets. It was better frameworks, applied more often. So we built the tool we wanted. Then we realized everyone we talked to wanted it too.
What's in v1
Framework archive with the classics: Eisenhower Matrix, RICE, ICE, MoSCoW, Decision Matrix, and more being added.
AI consultant powered by GPT-4o-mini, grounded in the framework library so it gives you structured, citable guidance rather than generic chat.
Diagnostic quiz for triaging your current bottleneck.
Framework comparison view for when you're torn between two approaches.
It's free to try — no account required to start a session. Rate-limited sensibly so it stays free for everyone.
Try it
If you use it on a real decision this week, we want to hear about it. Reply to this post on X or drop a note to suppport@aiworks.dev — the studio is small enough that the founders read everything.
More tools for thinkers are in the pipeline. This is the first.
